Simental Upholstered Bed

Assembly took about an hour and was relatively straight forward--easier to do with two people. There was a slight snag in the fabric on the headboard and the upholstered boards that meet at the foot of the bed aren't flush at 90 degree angles. Seems they should've installed some additional support on the bottom and top of those pieces were they come together, so that it would be flush. I also wish the headboard went down lower so that it covered the black metal on the sides -- seems like an easy design change that would have made it look much nicer. I do like the navy blue color we ordered (it is a bit brighter in person, compared to online photos). All that said, I thought it was pretty pricey, compared to similar upholstered beds from Wayfair (our King sized upholstered bed from Wayfair was half the price and it looks much nicer). Given the issues combined with the high price, I wish we would've ordered a different bed. A few helpful FYIs: I couldn't find anything about this online, but a 7" box spring probably fits best (see pictures). I would think that if you use a 5" box spring (as another reviewer mentioned), your mattress will be below the footboards making it very challenging to change the sheets. We have a 13" mattress. If you have a much deeper mattress, it will make the headboard much lower. The headboard does slide up and down a little, so you do have a bit of wiggle room on placement.

I love the color and quality of the upholstery. The bed was easy to assemble and the final product feels sturdy and looks great. My one frustration is that the side rails and footboard do not align at 90° angles. There is overlap and gapping. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

The frame is a bit thin and no matter how you try there is a gap between the parts after you assemble them. Plus the headboard is too high and is you buy the recommended 5’ inch box spring you see the black metal frame

So far so good. There was a problem with shipping, so it came a week late and a day apart. We have only recieved 1 of 2 so far but it looks like what I expected and hoped for.
