Perfect for my garage workshop! It's just like biology science lab seating. I don't need a comfy chair in my shop, just a place to take a load off for a few minutes. This is a sturdy long lasting stool for that.

These things feel almost indestructible, which is probably why they have a ubiquitous in many high school lab/art classrooms. Aesthetically humble, but exceptionally sturdy. If you are deciding between this stool vs the fixed height stool, I recommend the adjustable. The price difference isn't significant, and chances are you'll wish you had the option to raise or lower your seat at some point.
