The bookcase itself is very nice, but some holes didn't line up when putting it together. Also the top portion and the bottom portion do not line up flush across the front. They are offset from each other. I did not see anything explaining that the pegs that hold the shelves are made of plastic. I have bought other bookcases that use pegs to set the shelves onto, but they are metal.

not solid oak. the shelves are 5/8" oak stick frames with thin plywood on top. the whole thing is very flimsy

This product was defective. Misalignment and no labeling on the pieces so I had to figure it out. Even though it did not have the proper instructions, I still assembled just to find out that the shelving was misaligned. Horrible service options. Very disappointed. Zero stars.

A lot of the reviews said the holes didn’t align. I was hoping the problem would have been resolved, but it hasn’t. Not happy with the quality at all. In the picture you can see where the threaded hole is up above the bolt. I ended up adding a few screws but they don’t pull the two units together as tightly as the bolt would have. I bought two of these so I would have matching bookshelves. Very, very disappointed for the amount of money I spent on these.
