Hollander 54"W Solid Wood Contemporary 3-Door Sideboard Buffet with Adjustable Shelves and Metal Handles

Love the color and quality of this buffet. It’s in our dining room next to an 11 ft Oregon Black Walnut custom dining table and they go very well together. It was easy to assemble(for my husband).

The piece itself is beautiful and solid. We had 2 different ones sent to us and both had damage to the side. It looks as though when they strapped pieces together in manufacturing they cinched them too tight and indented the side. We were reimbursed a discount for the damage.

My wife and I couldn’t be happier with this Hollander Buffet Sideboard! It is absolutely gorgeous. The only problem with it is that it’s so nice, now my wife wants to buy all new furniture to match! The sideboard arrived on our porch in a very big and well protected box but it was clear upon first look that something huge and blunt was dropped on or smashed into the box during shipping as there was a huge gouge in the top of the box. Upon opening the box it was also clear that whatever happened to the box went through to the topmost piece and unfortunately dug into the the wood. We reached out to Wayfair and they forwarded our issue on to the manufacturer and they reached out to us the same day! They asked a few questions and said they would ship out a replacement for the the damaged piece. That replacement piece came within about a week or so and was so appreciated. The process couldn’t have been easier. The assembly of the sideboard is not difficult if you’ve ever assembled a piece of furniture such as this. Take piece A and insert small dowel rods (parts bag 6) into the end. Take parts bag 11 and use 6 screws to tighten piece A into piece B. Etcetera. You will need a good size space to lay everything out on and hopefully a large rug or something because you’ll basically be assembling the majority of the sideboard on what will end up being the back of the buffet. Lay out all your parts bags and organize your sideboard pieces. Take your time to read the instructions and look at the pictures carefully. My only slip up was installing the left door on the right side and the right door on the left side and only realized the error when I went to put the handles on the doors and realized they were effectively upside down. I will say that anywhere the instructions said “take small screw and screw into the wood - **holes are not predrilled**” I grabbed my cordless drill and a small drill bit and predrilled holes for those little screws. No need to take the chance of the wood splitting or the screw biting into the wood and going off at a funny angle. They include the standard allen wrench but I recommend having a nice set of allen wrenches, your cordless drill, and a good ratcheting screw driver all on hand. Two complaints I have while putting this together: 1). As you can see in one of my pictures one of the socketing screws poked through the inside of the drawer which is a shame. I’ll put that drawer on the bottom and maybe try to cover it up with some dark wood putty. This was NOT a result of me over tightening the screw as it simply just poked through with very little effort. 2). The little tiny shelf nubs that insert into the holes on the inside of the draws that the shelves rest on are way too big for the tiny predrilled holes! I pushed and pushed and twisted until my fingers hurt and could only get about 5 or 6 in without any effort. I tried using a rubber mallet to bang them in but they still would not go in with minimal effort and I didn’t want to really bank too hard on the tiny nubs for fear I might damage the sides of the buffet. I thought about taking my drill and finding a bit that was every so slightly bigger than the predrilled holes but didn’t do that for fear the bit would catch the wood and I’d drill right through the sides. I ended up taking my screw driver and shoving the philips head bit in the hole and just twisting and shimmying until it opened up the holes ever so slightly more allowing me to hammer the nubs in the holes with a light pounding. I told my wife “I sure hope you never need to adjust these shelves!” As they were such a pain to get in Other than those two minor complaints and the shipping issues, we absolutely LOVE this buffet and can 100% recommend it to you! I truly hope that this review was helpful to you in some way. Take the plunge and buy this piece, you won’t be sorry!

I love this sideboard! It has a clean design and the storage is great! It is exactly what I was hoping for. Wayfair customer service is amazing. You won’t be disappointed!

Beautiful and very functional. However, I noticed it several scratches on one of the doors when I pulled it out of the box. The Hollander Desk in Saddle Brown I also ordered arrived with some damage on the top edge of the desk and one of the legs. Even though both pieces will serve me well for my home office, I worry they will scratch easily, so I plan to order custom fit glass tops for both.
