Not exactly a low profile because you'll need a box spring with this bed. And if you have a mattress over 12 inches, (we have 14) it's standard height. This bed checks all the boxes with the detailing however, I'm not too keen on the shiny finish that's used. I wish it was a matte finish for of an elegant look.
