Really like the end result. The assembly of them was quite simple. But the instructions left off directions of where two bolts went, but if you have common sense you can figure it out. They are very sturdy, which was needed for my family members. Hope to enjoy they for a long time.

These chairs are amazing. Very solid- Great color. The seat is very wide and have a nice contour. Assembly was breeze. Would highly recommend. They matched the table perfect.

Have the table, chairs and matching barstools. Love love love them. Very heavy and sturdy and so happy I got the almond and black. The seats won’t scratch as easily as out previous black seats. Set up was very easy and I did myself. I only had help flipping the table over when it was done. I couldn’t be happier. All came packaged very well with no damage to speak of. I’m very impressed! Thank you Wayfair !

Courtdale 24" Bar Stool comes boxed as a pair of chairs and the parts list was complete. It is important to note that the “runners” (the round, dowel-like parts spanning the chair legs) are different lengths between the front runner and the side runners. Do not mix these up (the shorter runner is at the front of the chair). The hardware includes an Allen (hex) wrench for each chair, but I found a bit for my drill that matches. I couldn’t imagine screwing each bolt (10 per chair) by hand. The “almond” color is a distressed paint on light-colored wood. I would have preferred a light-colored wash on the wood giving a more natural color. The seat wood is dark with a walnut stain. One seat was very slightly more reddish than the other, but I have no complaint. Assembly was easy, but I used my own yellow wood glue for the runners instead of the supplied tube (one for each chair) of white glue. I thought that white glue is still water soluble after drying, but yellow wood glue is not. I may be mistaken about this. Note that it is important to fully insert each runner into the legs during assembly. There is a trick to avoid “rocking” of the assembled chairs. The first method I used was to set an assembled and glued chair on a level floor with a strap around the legs to hold them tightly together and place a weight on the seat during the glue drying time. The result was the chair still rocked slightly, but the rocking almost disappears when I sit in the chair. The second method (recommended) to adjust the chair’s rocking, was to put the assembled and glued chair in a corner on a flat floor (in my kitchen) and before final tightening the bolts and inserting the pan screws. The adjustment consisted of pressing against a front leg towards the opposite side back leg with the back of the chair against my kitchen cabinet. For instance, if the rocking seemed due to longer front left leg, I pressed in against the front right leg toward the back left leg. I did this a couple times as the rocking motion switched sides and tune out the rocking. I waited an hour before a final tightening of the bolts and inserting the pan screws, while each time checking if I had eliminated all rocking. Pros: Very solid chair. I feel very confident standing on the seat as a substitute stepping stool. The weight (19.5 lbs) adds to the chairs’ steadiness. Round front runner feels good while in resting bare feet. Very comfortable (I do not think a cushion would be better on the saddle scooped solid seat). Cons: The “almond” color is a bit greenish and I would prefer a more natural color, but this is not a deal-breaker. The weight (19.5 lbs). Yes, this is also a “pro” feature.
