The top is the thickest part and comes as a solid piece, almost feels like solid wood. Hardware supplied is good quality, I recommend a variable speed drill or power screwdriver to speed up assembly. Took about 2 hours by myself, took my time and everything came out correct. Instructions were clear and detailed. Fit and finish better than expected.
