Obsessed with my new table!! Easy to assemble!

Bottom line-I really like the way this coffee table looks with a L-shaped sectional sofa. I saw lots of similar lift top coffee tables in this style both in stores and online. But I chose this because it was the only one I could find that was approx 35 inches wide and most others are approx 40-50 inches wide which is too large for the average small living room apartment. I also chose it because of the price, similar styles retail for between $400-600. Pros: The Mid Century Modern style, and warm walnut color blend well with the average modern furniture trends. LOTS of storage for anything you keep in a living room. A functional work or eating surface. Cons: Not great quality, but an acceptable trade off for the price. The laminate and MDF material is exactly what you would expect from a big box store. Requires you to manually pull the table up with some gusto, and push down with the same gusto. The more expensive models usually have a very easy to lift top, as well as a satisfying "slow close" mechanism. The instructions were vague, so I had to go back a few steps and re-do them once I realized something was backward. So take your time to review them since mistakes are unusually easy to make with the assembly style. I shoved thin leather straps under the screws on the lift top hardware (pictured) before fully tightening them leaving DIY lift straps to make it easier to grab a hold of.

Very clearly gray. I didn’t pay attention to the reviews and I should have. Steer clear if you’re expecting faux white marble

Not terribly hard to assemble, works well for my L shaped couch, and is great to have some extra storage having downsized to a smaller apartment. However, it is NOT white. It is grey. I’m too lazy to return and I know returning with wayfair would be a nightmare, so for me it’s not that big of a deal. But for someone with a different style home, this could be a big deal. Order with color caution!
