I live in a relatively small size apartment. This bookcase is big enough to store a lot of items (believe it or not, no books :) ). On the other hand, it is small enough to not seem overwhelming huge for the apartment size. The shelves are been a blessing for allowing me to empty boxes full of "stuff" from my recent move. No keeping the boxes fully filled stuffed somewhere in the box of a closet.
