Scratches very easily. It's just my husband and I that use the table, and we use placemats. However, any open area is easily scratched. Would not be good for a heavy traffic area or if you have kids. There was a discoloration in an area and was advised to use mineral spirit. It helped some. Did receive some credit. Do like the extension being in the middle rather than the ends where your knees hit. If it weren't for the scratching problem, would love 100%
