It is the compact size that I needed and stairs are very sturdy. The table??? I would have liked the table top to be a bit thicker. Also, the drop leaf when extended (supports fully extended) does drop down approximately 1/ 4" from the edge of the table top, to the edge of the leaf. It is quite noticeable especially when placing a glass or other items on it. I cannot pull the extended leaf up any further as the two edges (table and leaf) are snug.

Originally very impressed with the quality of the table and chairs but now after only 4 months of very light use not so much. The clear coat on the chairs is chipping off the top edge of the chair simply by rubbing against the wall. The top clear coat is very brittle. We had another table and chairs before this one and after many years of use we didn’t have this problem. Not happy with this purchase !!!

It is a solid, beautiful dining set. The assembly was fairly easy and fast for someone who has put furniture together before. The delivery was great and quick, and the Fed Ex person brought it to the door of my apartment unit. I was very pleased with the whole process. The only issue was that the leaves (on the fold where you won’t see it when table is extended but can see it when leaf is down) didn’t have even even stain. All that said, I love how it looks.
