"The beautiful solid seat , or bench, or end table, is carved of the stump or root of the cedar. It can be used outside or indoor, adds a natural accent to the garden, patio, deck or any indoor area. Each one is different, and no two pieces are alike, as they are hand made and carved by skilled artisans, interpreting the wood shapes, patterns, and characters of the tree. The original tree name is called Shan tree or Shan wood, which grows abundantly in the mountain areas. The stumps are the left-over product of the logging, reclaimed prior to the re-planting, hand made by the local craftsman. Pre-drilled holes are on the backplate with hardware and assembly instructions included. Screwdriver not included. Built sturdy with heavy-duty, black powder-coated hairpin legs with a weight capacity of 200 pounds. Each piece of wood undergoes a multi-step process that includes recombination, polishing, painting, and waxing and is finished with a natural lacquer. With an ultra-soft rag, simply dust the surface of the tabletop and legs avoiding vigorous scrubbing as cedar is a softwood and can dent and scratch easily and powder coating may become damaged. It is also recommended that a sealer be applied occasionally to retain its colour and stability. When proper care and weight capacities are followed, you can expect a lifetime of use.
