I have warmed up to this console, but was not happy with how much higher than the sofa it was, and the top is just not what I expected! Was expecting a more rustic wood. However, I ended up placing it behind the sofa and my dog loves it for her Den. And it is convenient for charging and placing items like 2 matching table lamps and getting the too-many pillows I have out of the way! Also, it makes a great standing table, during Christmas it was my staging location and for writing! I'm glad I didn't write off this console and relegate to Good Will. Soooo many screws and bolts and stuff lol. Its not hard to put together just time consuming especially if you dont have a drill. Once together it looked. good in my space.
