Patara Ana is a unique stool with a comfortable upholstered seat. Each leg is tipped with a plastic glide screwed into the foot. The seat has a steel structure with “S” shape springs for extra flexibility and strength. This contemporary chair is suitable for both residential and commercial use. Patara Ana Stool is designed by Tayfur Ozkaynak.
I bought two red ppm counter stools with black and gold base.
They arrived in 3 boxes. Two small boxes contained hardware/base and then one large box contained the two seats.
From reading the reviews, I knew assembly might be a challenge. And sure enough, there were no instructions.
I emailed Sohoconcept and they referred me to their YT videos.
The base consists of 6 parts: 4 legs, the round foot test, and the base the chair sits on top of.
I managed to assemble it myself, no special tools required. Package comes with 12 screws (3 different kinds) and two allen wrenches.
The video recommends starting by attaching the legs to the circle foot rest thing, using the smallest screws, loosely. (Don't fully tighten anything until it's assembled.)
When all 4 legs are loosely attached to the circle, stand them up (this is the tricky part if you're working alone) and attach them to the seat base. The legs are designed to line up and fit into slots, each secured with one long screw.
Tighten all screws gradually.
This last part I couldn't really find an exact video but use the remaining four screws with washers to attach the base to the chair. I think the washers go between the seat and the base because there is kind of a gap there.
During the assembly process it seemed kind of short to me but it was the perfect height for my kitchen counter. And very comfortable.
I managed to assemble one chair entirely but the second one, I couldn't for the life of me get one of legs attached to the circle. I tried different screws and different angles, the other 7 went in early so maybe the hole is too small? I will ask my contractor.. Yevgenia. Dallas, TX. Tue Apr 01 2025
