Rustic meets industrial. Made with solid pine frames and tongue and groove planks harvested from reclaimed wood pallets, the Refugio collection bears an authentic combination of saw marks, dents, pits, stains, and nail holes only found on real reclaimed timbers. The natural variations in the wood provide a beautiful contrast to the black sand-cast metal base, for a look that's both organic and versatile.
Overall I like the console table. It was 80 off and I think it was definitely a good buy at that price. However, I would have been disappointed had I paid regular price. The workmanship was less than impressive. On several joints there was a 14” strip of unstained wood showing. I was able to use a stain pen to cover those areas and it looks okay. The wood doesn’t quite have as much “reclaimed” look as I was expecting, it’s basically pine boards with random nailscrew holes in several boards. No real texture to the wood itself. The little handle on top looks cheap. But the construction is solid, it was easy to assemble, the wheels and legs are very nice and industrial and it is exactly the size I needed for a 55” TV. I gave it 4 stars because I think you’d be hard-pressed to find another solid wood TV console table with an industrial look for around 300. I also bought the matching end table and was very happy with it. The wood on that piece had great texture and there were no construction quality issues so perhaps I just got a little unlucky with this particular piece. Maybe it was a bad day at the factory the day it was built.. Anonymous. US. Tue Jul 11 2023
