An upholstered seat and back work the curves and overlap just so as to create a chair that invites you to sit down and stay awhile. The channel stitch detail may not improve the aerodynamics but it sure looks swell with a colour-coordinated powder-coated steel sled base.

These stools look good and are functionally great. The seat is comfortable to sit in and fits our countertop height perfectly. I'm concerned about the flimsy feet and cheaply made seat pad, and I don't expect a long life out of either of them. I had a problem with defective shipped parts originally -- one had a welded seat that wasn't straight and one of the hardware packs had a melted/broken foot.
