great fan for a normal size bathroom

This fan runs very, very quietly for an 80 CFM fan. I bought two; one each for two separate powder rooms. They run all the time when we have guests in the house. The fins and impeller housing are coated with what appears to be Teflon; they've been running for dozens of hours and cleaning each month is a breeze (pardon the pun) -- we just vacuum the grille, and then go outside and vacuum the louver where it vents outdoors. More importantly, the dust doesn't cluster near or around the motor, where it might burn if the motor gets too hot. We have a guest who insists on smoking in the powder room instead of outdoors -- she's old and we just deal with it. This fan deals with most of the smoke and odor straight away. That speaks volumes. I purchased this at a commercial supply house. We found that the Broan and competitors' fans offered at Big Box stores were inferior. Apparently with ventilators you indeed get what you pay for. This model, by the way, may be a bit difficult to retro-fit into an opening for a conventional bath fan without lamps. If doing a remove and replace, be prepared to remove the old fan's entire housing and start from scratch with the vent hose and a rectangular space in-between studs which is convenient to the power supply. The impeller in this fan is humongous and needs the extra room.

I like this fan because it is quiet and now we don't have fogged mirrors after a shower, even during the recent sub-zero cold spell.

This fan shuts off when you need it the most, works great when there isn't any steam. The grill is a pain to install. You will save energy while it doesn't work. If you run it for more than 2 hours it will shut off on it's own, and seems to take forever to come back on, if this is a feature to the product you'll never know it if you shop and read all the info that comes with it. I don't recommend this for a bathroom, it's sensitive to moisture.

The XN110 fan is an extremely efficient fan that runs so quietly that I can barely hear it. It prevents steamy mirrows and walls. It also looks attractive on the ceiling. I highly recommend it. It is well worth the price.
