I'm overall happy with the cooling power of the fan though you definitely get what you pay for here. The paper filter definitely has a wet paper smell during the first use but that goes away. I added some essential oil to the water and now it smells great every time. Overall it's functional and easy to use, clean, and store when you don't need it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing tower fan. It came in nice packaging that insured the fan didn't get damaged. The package included the fan, the base of the fan, a remote (with batteries), the warranty, and instructions. The fan itself feels very good and durable regardless being made of majority plastic. The remote also feels very nice and lets you change the fan speed, mode, timer, oscillation, and whether or not you want to mute the fan (the beeps whenever you turn on/off the fan and change the settings). There is a nice smooth and bright screen located on the top of the fan which shows the fan speed, the mode, timer, if oscillation is on, and if the fan is muted or not. Right under the screen, there are buttons to control the fan of you didn't want to use the remote. The fan has 8 different speeds, starting very low, and going very high. The fan does an excellent job cooling down me, and my room. I live in California where it's very hot especially at this time of year, and the fan has no problem cooling things down. The fan is very quiet on the lower levels but does get fairly loud on the higher levels. For the modes, there is normal, automatic which changes the speed based on the temperature of the room, natural which simulates a real breeze by changing the speed, and sleep which slowly decreases the fan speed every 30 minutes until it is at the lowest setting. Also, they make it very easy to clean the fan by allowing you to detach the grilles if needed. Overall, the fan is very easy to set up and provides a ton of controls while also keeping you cool.
