I am very pleased with these wall panels. I was a little hesitant to purchase something so long, and thin enough to perhaps be damaged in shipping. But every piece was in perfect condition. I bought the alder, which was easy for me to cut with a Japanese style hand saw. Another reviewer mentioned the black charring on the sides, and yes that was a pain because it got all over my hands and on the wall as I was leaning the boards up to visualize. I washed it off as best as I could, then primed and painted. Seems as though the black edging would be a problem if I was just staining or keeping natural. Painting has worked for me though, as did construction adhesive with no nailing required. These wall panels have really jazzed up my entryway and I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Whoa…stained them and put them up quickly with a nail gun in our bedroom sitting area! Everyone comments on how great they look. Very dramatic so don’t overdo but the wood is awesome…either natural, stained or painted.

Unfortunately this product has black charring on the edge from laser cut. Wiping off does not take it away and it is that strong that it stains everything it touches during handling. I saw couple people reported same problem with another wall panel product from this company. One suggested that use polyeurethane to cover the edges. I left it in my outside shed for a while hoping it may go away or something. but I am outside of return period and stuck with it.
