Overall I think this will work, but it took so much work to install it (professionally) and the door is still a bit wobbly. Its tricky because to truly hide the hardware, but also ensure the door can slide all the way closed, you end up needing quite a bit of overlap at one end, so the end look makes the doorway look and really become more narrow than the opening. This is a drawback, though not a dealbreaker for me. I still like the look of an “invisible” door.

This item looks great in my clients entire home remodel project. It arrived quickly and was simple to install.

This barn door mount was exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately there was not enough clearance to suit my contractor, so back it went.
