We ended up hanging these in the ceiling with some good double-sided tape. We have a led strip taped facing the wall and lighting it up. It looks gorgeous! They could be painted, but we left them white to match our ceiling.

We have added new coves to a few rooms during our remodel. Our electrician said this was the perfect angle for the LED tape he prefers to use. Our contractor, installed these around the bottom of each cove, and it softens the 90 degree angle along the bottom. He preferred to use a construction adhesive he uses on a regular basis, and also tacked this in place, to help hold things in place, until the adhesive dried. His painter used Bondo to blend in the joints. It looks great and blends in even better, when they painted the ceilings!
