We’ve had several wood stove kettles. What we liked about this one is the vents in the lid which allow for more steam to be released. One inconvenient feature is that the knob on the lid is very small. When the kettle is hot, you need to use a glove to lift the lid. It’s difficult to grasp the knob with a bulky fireplace glove. Fortunately, the small knob could be unscrewed, and we replaced it with a larger knob.

We love it!! It's beautiful, enameled to last & does the trick. It's a conversation piece on our wood stove!!

I gave this as a Christmas gift and they are very happy with it and tell me how much they love it!

Wayfair write up said it was robust enough to run out of water and not be ruined. Instructions in box say do not let it run out of water! Volume of water is less than I might have wanted given the warning.
