Very good & quiet machine, we are very happy with it. Angel with Whynter also went above and beyond what we expected in correcting an after sales service issue. It is an excellent customer oriented company!

About this portable air conditioner (ARC-147WF), installation was quick and easy. The cooling is great on hot days (compared to the other portable conditioners I own). Its auto-evaporative function so far functions well but I haven’t used it too much regularly (only on humid days). The air outlet’s fan flip can occasionally generate some flipping sound. One feature I really like is you can use both a HEPA filter and a carbon filter in this portable air conditioner at the same time. But the downside is I asked the manufacturer and they don’t have the carbon filter replacement available for sale for consumer yet because this is a relatively new Whynter model that came out (they only sell the HEPA filter replacement so far in USA based authorized retailer's store). So you won’t be able to find a replacement for the carbon filter for now until the manufacturer (Whynter) have it in stock. If only Wayfair.ca can also sell the replacement filters for Whynter air conditioners I would definitely buy them every 2-3 months. Overall, I like this air conditioner (ARC-147WF) just as much as the other Whynter portable air conditioner (ARC-12SD) I brought from wayfair.ca last year.

Had enough of the heat and decided to get a portable that I could bring with me when I move. Cools a medium sized, maybe 290 sqft work area comfortably at 70degrees. it’s quiet enough to place in the close proximity without issue.
