Whynter is more expensive than most portable AC brands, but it is worth it. It cools my 200 sq. ft. bedroom in 30 minutes or less. It is quiet enough to have on while sleeping and is energy efficient. My old unit used to basically double my electricity bill, this costs maybe an extra 20 a month to run every night. Highly recommend.

Easy to set up, cools a large bedroom very quickly. Had some difficulty getting the window panel to seal, but solved that by purchasing a length of foam pipe wrap - the kind that is already cut (see photo) and put a length of that along the top and bottom of the window panel. Made a good seal with the window, and solved the problem for about $2.50.

The tubes make this almost impossible to be portable. They are extremely cumbersome and hard to store when using or not. I am sorry I bought it due to how annoying it is to put back together. If I am being totally fair, I use it to supplement the central air in a large room with a vaulted ceiling. Its easier for me to be annoyed than if I were using it as an only unit. It is super quiet and puts out a decent amount of cool air. It doesnt blow super hard so moving the air requires a fan in the room. I am just meh about it and really regret it.

My air conditioner is not working. It gave heart instead of cold. Please come and take it back. I bought it because in the answer and question column it said it was not necessary to use the vent but that is not true! It needs the vent to work properly. I am sad and disappointed I can’t use this air conditioner
