I'm obsessed with my new doors! Exactly as pictured. I love the texture and quality. You do have to assemble the doors, but it was easy with clear instructions. The only issues I had was with mounting the railing. My studs weren't 16 inches apart to meet up with the pre-drilled holes. These doors are heavy so you have to make sure you put the bolts in studs. I thought about a header board but that would've made a larger gap between the door and the wall. So I drilled new holes in the railing to place the bolts in studs (which wasn't as easy as I expected). The gap between the door and wall is about 3/4in without a header. I like it! Decided to change out old folding doors with this barn style door. There were no pre drilled holes for some of the hardware but overall simple self explanatory instructions. I joked that this barn door showed up in a box the size of a banana — long and skinny — and it came in several pieces. I don’t know why that surprised me, but it did. Assembly was actually really easy. The instructions were visual only, but clear, I didn’t mind. Installation was a bit trickier because our studs were off, but once it was up, the door hangs well and slides smoothly.
