[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I are really enjoying the Dimplex 33" Deluxe Built-in Electric Firebox. It is beautiful! Puts off good warmth! My children really enjoy watching it! It's safe! And the installation was easy for me--I consider myself average with DIY things. It's the perfect addition to my living room. Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will start by saying I did not have an old fireplace to set this Dimplex Built-in Electric Firebox into; my wife wanted to create one, so we are working a little backwards. I will say that I was a bit annoyed that the fireplace did NOT come with a plug, just wires - so you can not just set it in. There's a plug kit you can purchase, however, I just had my electrician come over and hardware everything for me. I have it set up on a temporary stand as you'll see in my picture. The fireplace also does not come with a remote or wall switch. I purchased the wall control and he will come back this week once it arrives. Once that is finished I will build around the fireplace with trim. The one thing I really do not like is that the on/off switch is inside of the fireplace, so unless you purchase a control then you will have to take off the glass every single time to turn it on and off. It does however heat up a very large room rather fast. The fireplace is also very nice to look at once it's on. It's a little louder than I would like, but it's not too loud where you can't deal with it. I am happy about being able to heat the living room and it does create a cozy atmosphere.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed this a few weeks ago and with the temperatures dropping have used it a ton! The back room where we put it never has enough heat but now, it’s perfect. Was very simple to install and is affordable for the quality you get. Actually prepare for a cold winter this year and it feels great.

Assembler left log wires touching 60 watt flame bulbs. Wires melted and bulb blew. Sent picture over a week ago and crickets.
