Simple, elegant and modern! The flame looks real! Gives off a good amount of heat if you want to turn it on. you can keep flames on without heat too.. also, remote is super easy to use. Takes 2 triple A batteries (not included). There is a timer so you can set it and forget it! I love how easy it was to put together. As other reviewers stated, the directions are very straightforward. Took my husband with a little tiny bit of my help about one hour to complete!  Really nice fireplace. Very happy with the time (30-40 minutes 1x person) it took to build this electric fireplace. The instructions were super straight forward and all parts were well labeled! My biggest pet peeve is poor quality instructions so I thought it was important to mention. The fireplace works perfectly and I love the heating features. I do feel it’s a bit pricey for the quality of the mantle materials but overall a great find.

I am so happy that I got this electric fireplace! It’s a perfect addition to the upstairs bedroom that does not have heating ducts. The flames are realistic enough and the heat output is more than ample to cozy up the room. The instructions were very straightforward and easy to follow. It took 2 of us about an hour to complete.

So I think this fireplace is super modern and clean. Assembly went smoothly and it is a sturdy piece of furniture. The remote and timer are a nice feature. Things I still have to work out with it is getting the room warm. I ran it for several hours and barely felt a change except when I was right on it. Wish the heater part was up a bit off the floor so you could see the flames from the bed.

A beautiful fireplace! The black and white are great accents and look fantastic in our living room. It modernized the entire room and the fireplace itself is easy to use and warms the home. I would definitely recommend!
