Added a nickel gap wall to our LR and this was the perfect addition. Remote, easy installation and works great with all the colors and brightness. Insert but could be hung directly in a wall. Recommend.

This is a gorgeous and contemporary fireplace! I got the one that is 50 inches so it can go perfectly under the same sized TV that we have. I'm trying to have someone build for a tiled fireplace wall for us so that we can insert this fireplace into it and hang the TV above it. Note that this can also be wall mounted and is a plug in. This fireplace has buttons for the different functions above the glass. It also comes with a remote. It took me just a few minutes to remove six screws on the front glass panel to switch the log piece(see pic) out for the hard plastic crystals that came in a separate bag. I like how you can have the option to use either or! I personally love the look with the crystals! There are 3 different backlight/flame colors to choose from..amber, blue, or purple. You can dim or brighten the flame/ backlight. If you would like the heater on then you can adjust the temperature from 62 upto 82 F. There's a quick display that shows on the front everytime you change an option. You can also put it on low or high heat, which is basically the amount of hot air it blows out. There's a timer on this fireplace as well upto 8 hrs. It came well packaged and with well written instructions. I love this fireplace!! Definitely recommend it for someone looking for a modern fireplace!
