I absolutely LOVE this set. I was a little nervous when we bought this because it had no reviews yet. I normally do not buy anything without some kind of customer feedback. This set is amazing. Its so rich and beautiful. You will not be disappointed. My daughter and I put this together within just a few hours. This pic does not have the leaf in, it will go bigger so you are not so close. I will say the only thing I found extremely disappointing was the amount of Styrofoam used to package everything. I appreciate as a consumer the care that was taken to keep my items protected....however I think this day and age we should find something other than styrofoam ( that will sit in our landfills FOREVER!!!!!) Pros: heavy, sturdy table; not flimsy or cheap feeling! The distressed grey finish is nice; definitely has a warm, brown undertone (from the pics it looks even more brown but it is grey). The option of a leaf is fabulous! I wanted a table to seat 10 if need be, and this could definitely do it. This table is a nice width, too. Cons: although the distressed look is great, there are some parts of our table that are VERY distressed...like an edge of a chair leg that looks a bit like a big chunk is missing (not damaged in transit, just really rustic). Also, some parts of the chair backs and seats feel rough to the touch, like you could get a sliver if you rubbed them too hard. Lastly, stain can be very blotchy; dark in some places, light in others, which is maybe typical but there are some parts where I thought maybe the stain was missed and one part of a chair especially (that we intend to send back) that has very noticeable light blotches across the top (see pics). So just be aware of these things. Overall, we are happy with this purchase; it is a great option if you are wanting a natural wood look and are not wanting the standard brown table or a painted table.. Angela.
