Nice looking doors! We had to cut the length to make them fit our irregular sized closet frame. It worked out well and now we have an ‘airier’ looking space thanks to the mirrors. Ugh. Parts of the wood were split, many other parts were scratched and yet others were stained with glue or wood filler. (See pics.) I had to use super glue and and an orbital sander and then quite a few hours staining and finishing and I eventually got thing to look more or less like they should... but this is above what most people would have bothered with. In addition to a damaged product the assembly instructions are... quite lacking. They describe parts that look completely different and they involve "kangaroo steps" that don't specify the details in what should be done. At one point I had to flip the railing in the other direction and reinstall it because I misunderstood how it was supposed to fit. Wayfair's description of this product is just plain wrong. It's not primed with anything (thank goodness), which means you can stain it like any other plain wood. It's also not a full 80"... really more like 78". Both of these facts are good for me, but they may not be good for everyone. I also have to mention that the railing lacks a 'spring mechanism' that prevents the door from falling out of the railing when the door closes. I had to super glue some pipe insulation in the railing to prevent that from happening. My efforts were heculean... but I admit that the end result was okay... and there is no competition for unfinished doors of this exact size.. Anonymous. . 2025-03-03 22:03:31
