This is a very attractive unit and will be a great addition to my deck. It arrived quickly and survived the journey here without damage. A deck box I had previously ordered from another supplier had arrived very well packed but the contents were damaged beyond use - it was replaced but the second one arrived in the same condition. Assembly was easy, I even think one person could do it, although a second person obviously makes it easier!! I was surprised to find that all the fixings screw directly into the plastic body of the box, hopefully they will stand the test of time! Also, after assembly, I could see daylight through each of the four corners at the base of the box. After reading review after review, we settled on this particular deck box. First delivery had a cracked panel so we could not put it together like that. After requesting a replacement panel, and being told that was no longer available, Wayfair sent another entire deck box. This one was perfect. The plastic is of sturdy quality, enough to withstand the rubber mallet pounding while putting it together. The black version has a slight wood grain and I like it. It took us about 45 minutes to put together, slow and steady and we found an instruction video online that was really helpful. Everything came together nice and tight in the corners and it works just how it should. The lid has a nice glide to it but snaps shut quick at the end. Cushions from the 2 patio chairs we bought at Wayfair fit right in and there's room for more.
