I’m very happy with this BBQ Gazebo! It is really nice! And, the hubby has said over over how sturdy it is. I’ve got to tell ya, he was not happy with me that I’d bought it to start because he prefers the metal products due to less upkeep longevity, in his opinion. But, he’s very happy with it now that’s it’s here together. As a matter of fact, we may buy 2 more modify them a bit to go across our patio for better shade more use of the patio in the summer mths. It’s very hot with the sun directly hitting it most of the day. He put the gazebo together by himself. My granddaughter I did help lift the roof once it was assembled to set it on the base, however. All parts were there, no damage at all easy to assemble. The only negative is the hub’s said we can’t sit the BBQ directly under it due to fore hazard Idk how accurate he is on that since that’s what the gazebo is made for. I’m just gonna wait see how that goes. We haven’t bbq’d since we got the gazebo so the jury’s still out. I’ve included some pics, but it’s not completely set up yet. Nice Pergola It’s solid but a little lower than I had envisioned. The front has a shallow gutter with ends open. I’m a trying to figure out how to hang a gutter. It’s very hard to drill. Garage is first come first server, so needed a carport to protect whoever loses for the day. I was looking into another model from Sunjoy sold through a large box store, but after looking at their other products decided on Autocove due to more head room at the entrance due to the angled front rafter. The other model went straight across. My driveway pad angles down in 2 directions, so I had to DIY footers to make It level. Used 12” concrete form tubes, QK5000, 4 little vertical rebar in each piling drilled into exiting pad, and concrete2concretre bond agent. Used Laser level from highest point to know how tall each needed to be. Added 1x6 black stained slats which are NOT part of the product. Also used different 6x6 base mounts that only needed 1 big 5/8 hole drilled into concrete instead of 4 each pillar. The hardest part of my overall project was drilling the holes into existing concrete. You will be over installing bolts by the time you are done, but straight forward. The other reviewer’s video showing assembly (slowed way down!) was very helpful. Great Carport for the price and not hard to do. After much research for a grilling station, I think we selected the perfect one. We couldn’t be more happy. It took almost 4 weeks to deliver, which came together in three boxes. Everything was well packed and marked. The instructions were clear and we had no issues with holes lining up. My husband did decide to use longer bolts to secure the structure to the concrete stamped patio but just for extra precaution since we live on water and experience a lot of high winds. We had steady 35mph winds with 40-50 mph gusts other day and no issues at all. It took us a day, or about 7-8 hrs to build. Definitely need two people, and a third is even better. There were not many detailed reviews for this when I bought it, so I wanted to provide as much as I can to help shoppers make a decision. This is a great addition to our home at minimal cost (compared to a deck or roof). But this build is not for the faint of heart! Make sure your husband, partner, etc. is mechanically inclined and has a case of beer or favorite whiskey nearby! lol. We took our time and finished this over 3 days. Following the instructions is a must (we learned that the hard way after skipping a step). There are lots of pieces. Best thing to do is lay everything out so you can easily identify the part numbers. (Lay in grass or on top of a tarp so you don’t scratch the paint.) The one thing they don’t account for is securing it to the ground and house. We had to buy all of the masonry screws to install the 4 posts in the concrete patio and 4 brackets on the side of the house. Additional tools are needed for masonry install, like a hammer drill. (Would be a much easier job if installing into wood.) Recommend spending the extra money for the 14’ if you have the space. Our furniture would have been too crowded under the 12’. So far no leaks. Time will tell if it holds up to snow this winter. There are 2 reinforcement posts included that go in the middle of the frame. We will be putting those up in the winter if heavy snow is expected.
