Guest Bed

Transform your living space with the Murphy Cabinet Bed, a smart furniture solution designed for modern homes. This multifunctional piece looks like a stylish cabinet during the day and quickly converts into a comfortable Full-size guest bed whenever needed. Designed for small apartments, home offices, and guest rooms, this space-saving bed helps maximize your available space without sacrificing comfort or style.

Did take a while to put together, but was able to do it by myself. Got this for a guest bed in the office that only gets used sporadically. For a mattress we are using a Sleep Number C4 bed we just upgraded from in the bedroom. This cabinet was perfect as it had the solid base a Sleep Number requires and the entire bed, mattress pad, pillows, and comforter ALL fit inside the cabinet and drawer. I did have to drill a small hole in the bed base near the head off the bed for the air tube and another in the back board to plug in the air pump, but both are in places not visible with the bed open or closed. We contemplated a traditional Murphy bed, but they seem to need the weight of a mattress to help hold them open? And they lacked storage space for all the other bedding to make up the bed. Since storage space is always in short supply, this bed seemed a better fit for our needs. I only gave 4 stars for some minor gripes. First are the stickers used to cover the cam locks. Wow is that cheesy. Most furniture I have put together using cam locks have a plastic disc that goes into the cam lock hole. However, the only place these are visible are the inside of the headboard when the bed is open. I would have appreciated plastic caps for this area vs the stickers. My only other complaint is about the cam locks themselves. Other furniture I have put together (including the glass door cabinet next to the bed chest in the photo) had a stop so you can't insert the screwdriver too far and potentially run into the cam lock pin when turning the cam lock. I am not sure if this is what kept happening, but I did have a few cam locks where I just could not get them to turn as far as they should have. Will call this one user error, but with a properly designed cam lock this isn't an issue. Like I said, pretty minor, and overall very pleased with the bed for what we needed. It is also really easy to open and set up as I had to do that half a dozen times or so figuring out how to get the Sleep Number air pump connected and the holes drilled.. Cheran. Lakeview, OR. The daybed with a pop-up trundle features clean lines, attractive angles, and plenty of classic style. Crafted from kiln-dried wood, it comes in a sleek finish that blends rustic and traditional together for a standout look we love. The pop-up easily stores under the bed and wheels out and up when needed. It can also combine with the daybed, transforming this piece from two twin beds to a king. A series of slats eliminates the need for a box spring, so all you need to get are two mattresses (sold separately).

Instantly turn any room in your home into a comfortable sleeping space with a Murphy Bed that’s been meticulously designed and tested with your safety in mind. Our wall beds undergo rigorous in-house and independent testing in accordance with ISO 10131, a European safety standard we voluntarily follow that goes above and beyond domestic requirements to ensure safe use in any living space. The 65W Queen Murphy Bed is the ideal space saver for a multipurpose room. Easily transform your home gym or office into a guest room. The mattress support uses flexible slats that follow the curves of the body and absorb pressure for maximum comfort. The Queen Murphy bed can be used every night, and it folds up and down smoothly and quickly thanks to the dual piston system. Choose your own mattress since the bed accommodates most standard Queen mattresses (8-12 inches thick, 60-90 lb, 60 x 80 inches) and supports up to 1000 lb (including mattress). The open bed extends 92 inches from the wall. Allow a clearance of 30-36 inches around the open bed. The dual-mount wall bed mechanism attaches to the floor and wall for ease of assembly and maximum stability and durability. To avoid risk of injury, the Murphy bed must be installed to wall and floor structure by a professional or qualified person. Two people are required for assembly. Installation requires attachment to wood studs or masonry, removal of the baseboard, and drilling into the floor (if disassembly is required, holes may be covered with baseboards 0.5 inches or thicker). All necessary hardware is included. The cabinet must be anchored to a wall with a minimum ceiling height of 91.1 inches. Do not use this product for children or pets under 50 pounds (22.7 kg). The Murphy Bed is backed by the 10 Year Manufacturer’s Warranty. North American made with globally sourced materials.

Happy with the purchase. Selected for my guest room to save space and it’s a great looking cabinet. I read the reviews and was prepared for a long assembly time and that held true. By myself total assembly time was around 7 hours. Found it less daunting breaking it up over 2 days. Went with a 10” mattress and slept on for two nights after assembly and found it very comfortable. Make sure you read the assembly instructions very carefully. There were a few times that I almost missed a key point that would have been a problem or a redo had I not caught it. This is not a build for a someone new to assembly and if you are not somewhat fit you better have help as the boxes are heavy and you need some strength to assemble.. Edward. Greenville, NC.
