Very pleased with the purchase, however, I realize that it was an open box purchase and it came with a couple of issues. The screws and bolts were loose in the box, which caused a gouge on the table top. There are what appear to be stains on the tabletop. I am unable to rub them off and believe they may have been caused by rubbing of the packing material. Overall it is a fine workbench and am pleased with the construction.. Peter. ST. SURPRISINGLY easy to put together! The instructions were good. It's solid wood - but not sure what kind of wood - it's quite soft - scratches easily (I'll coat the top with a clear varnish). I subtracted a star because the drawer slides are ANNOYING - when you push the front in, the back pop out. It took a number of Whacks with a rubber mallet to make them stick all the way in, and then the drawers slid easily. The drawer edges are wood, too, but the bottoms are MDF (I put drawer liner paper over them - see photo). the swing-out support for the table top extension also has a caster, which is handy! I love this table!! I rearranged my sewing room and wanted to upgrade my cutting/work table. This one works perfectly as the full size is big enough to cut larger projects (as opposed to cutting on the floor) and the standing height makes it more comfortable to cut.
