It had 1,000 pieces and 1,000 steps to put it together, but it was pretty easy - just time consuming. It’s quite sturdy feeling and looks great. My only complaint is that the locking mechanism that keeps only one drawer open at a time is kind of loud and clanky. I saw a lot of reviews saying that the drawers would get stuck or didn’t line up but as long as you read and follow the instructions, everything lines up and goes together perfectly! A little wobbly, but best changing table I could find that wasn’t horrendous looking. I have in my living room. You can keep it after you’re done using it as a changing table, shelves are very deep, so I’ll probably sell it and use a regular bookshelf instead.
