Transform your living space with the Murphy Cabinet Bed, a smart furniture solution designed for modern homes. This multifunctional piece looks like a stylish cabinet during the day and quickly converts into a comfortable Full-size guest bed whenever needed. Designed for small apartments, home offices, and guest rooms, this space-saving bed helps maximize your available space without sacrificing comfort or style.

Did take a while to put together, but was able to do it by myself. Got this for a guest bed in the office that only gets used sporadically. For a mattress we are using a Sleep Number C4 bed we just upgraded from in the bedroom. This cabinet was perfect as it had the solid base a Sleep Number requires and the entire bed, mattress pad, pillows, and comforter ALL fit inside the cabinet and drawer. I did have to drill a small hole in the bed base near the head off the bed for the air tube and another in the back board to plug in the air pump, but both are in places not visible with the bed open or closed. We contemplated a traditional Murphy bed, but they seem to need the weight of a mattress to help hold them open? And they lacked storage space for all the other bedding to make up the bed. Since storage space is always in short supply, this bed seemed a better fit for our needs. I only gave 4 stars for some minor gripes. First are the stickers used to cover the cam locks. Wow is that cheesy. Most furniture I have put together using cam locks have a plastic disc that goes into the cam lock hole. However, the only place these are visible are the inside of the headboard when the bed is open. I would have appreciated plastic caps for this area vs the stickers. My only other complaint is about the cam locks themselves. Other furniture I have put together (including the glass door cabinet next to the bed chest in the photo) had a stop so you can't insert the screwdriver too far and potentially run into the cam lock pin when turning the cam lock. I am not sure if this is what kept happening, but I did have a few cam locks where I just could not get them to turn as far as they should have. Will call this one user error, but with a properly designed cam lock this isn't an issue. Like I said, pretty minor, and overall very pleased with the bed for what we needed. It is also really easy to open and set up as I had to do that half a dozen times or so figuring out how to get the Sleep Number air pump connected and the holes drilled.. Cheran. Lakeview, OR. It’s a beautiful piece. I love the Murphy Bed. The desk is a very sturdy, hard to pull out and push together but once done it’s locked in. I hired task rabbit to put it together and it too him almost 9 hours but we love it.. Brittany. Winter Garden, FL. Fri Mar 21 2025

It looks nice. Arrived mostly on time (1 box was delayed) and only missing 2 screws. There is a little scratch on the front but, otherwise, no issues. Somewhat difficult to put together and took two people for some parts of it. And I can confirm that there is NO mattress despite the description of the item specifically stating there was one (it said none was included in another part of the description so slightly confusing). Havent used it yet as waiting for mattress but happy so far.. Nicole. Toronto, ON. Sat Mar 14 2026

This Murphy bed is amazing. Exactly what we pictured for this room and it turned out spectacular. The only problem is lifting pistons or springs are too strong for the weight of the foam mattress we bought, causing the system to act like a giant spring that pulls the frame back up into the cabinet.. Carissa. Chino Hills, CA. Thu Aug 13 2026

This ingenious space-saving murphy bed effortlessly converts a compact room into a versatile living space, folding away neatly into a sleek, shaker-style cabinet when not in use. Perfect for maximizing square footage without sacrificing style, this multifunctional piece blends effortlessly into any contemporary or transitional décor scheme. Its freestanding cabinet profile with clean panel detailing makes it as attractive closed as it is functional open.

Great bed, but be patient while assembling. Take your time. Youll definitely need more than 1 person. Another reviewer said to make sure you assemble in the room you want the bed... he was right. The packages arrived beat up. Thankfully there was no damage. Regarding the bed itself, the horizontal opening seems safereasier to open for a shorter person. The only challenge is stopping midway down to unfold the feet. I also wish there were more than 5 slats under the mattress. We added a few more, ourselves. Just to make sure it had more support. Otherwise no complaints.. Barbara. New York, NY. Sun Sep 13 2026

Queen Size Murphy Bed with Large Drawers

Very heavy material which I’m hoping means it’s very durable. Takes some time to put together unless you have 2 people working on it. Particularly happy with a collapsible Murphy bed tha doesn’t take up a whole wall!. Elizabeth. Arnold, MD. Tue Jul 07 2026

I bought this Murphy bed for my guest bedroom and its exactly what I was looking for. Assembly was definitely a challenge (instructions were good, but lots of heavymoving pieces), but for the price it was worth it. There are no shelves inside the cabinets, but that was perfect so I can easily store the pillows and comforter while the bed is up. I also purchased a wardrobe from the same line to create a closet area for guests. All the pieces are sturdy and the quality seems great.. Alexandra. GA. Sat Sep 12 2026

I was initially skeptical…will I like, will I not and if not how much will it cost me to ship back But I can tell you this unit is indeed a KEEPER! Lots of work to put together (took me 3 days) but the end result is well worth it. Perfect color and size. As mentioned in other reviews, the assembly is not easy. The directions consist of pictures of exploded diagrams of various stages with no words, so you have to be really good at looking at the pictures and making sure your pieces are facing the correct direction, the correct side, etc. Double check to avoid having to deconstruct and reconstruct! You definitely need at least two people to assemble this, and you definitely need a drill to do the screwing and some of the drilling that is required. And even better if both of the people have drills! Theres no way you can hand screw this thing unless you have weeks and weeks. Speaking of time, it took us a total of about 12 hours. And my husband is a woodworker and builds things on the regular, so thatll give you some context. What worked for us was to initially take all of the pieces out of the three boxes and place in piles according to their letter and number designation. We did find a couple of pieces that did not have markings and also a couple that were mis-marked, but we could figure out what piece they were supposed to be. There is an annoying white warning sticker on the face of the bed that is really difficult to get off. Also, the brackets to secure to the wall are kind of an eyesore inside of the bed frame. The other pictures show a couple of areas of damage that came with the bed.. Katherine. Essex Junction, VT. Sun Sep 27 2026

Happy with the purchase. Selected for my guest room to save space and it’s a great looking cabinet. I read the reviews and was prepared for a long assembly time and that held true. By myself total assembly time was around 7 hours. Found it less daunting breaking it up over 2 days. Went with a 10” mattress and slept on for two nights after assembly and found it very comfortable. Make sure you read the assembly instructions very carefully. There were a few times that I almost missed a key point that would have been a problem or a redo had I not caught it. This is not a build for a someone new to assembly and if you are not somewhat fit you better have help as the boxes are heavy and you need some strength to assemble.. Edward. Greenville, NC.
