This is a 48 in. stainless steel track cap used to repair damaged patio or wardrobe door tracks. It can be cut to desired length. After the old track is prepared by grinding any spots that are wider than the original track width and cleaning it, the new track is simply pressed onto the old track after squirting a thin bead of silicone glue in the replacement track. Using a rubber mallet and a block of wood, the replacement track is snapped down over the old track.

A few years a workman was moving our fridge out through the sliding doors and cracked the track that the sliding door rolls along. I purchased a track repair kit that clips over the broken track, and that worked for a couple of years but I knew it would not last forever since the underneath track was plastic and was cracked, and so sooner or later it would break. Well, it did break and so the clip on metal "fix it" kit would not stay in place. I purchased this track for my solid wood, 8 feet wide, Crestline door (that is very heavy) and in less than an hour I had removed my door, removed the old plastic track (who ever thought a plastic track for a door that weighed 70-80 pounds was a good idea, anyway?), and installed this new track. I had to cut off about 3 inches of this track and my dewalt sidegrinder did the trick in about 10 seconds. Then I installed this track inside the existing base, using stainless screws. It works perfectly! It has been years since this door opened smoothly so we are loving it! Only complaint: It would have been nice if they had included screws with it, and would have been nice if the screw holes were beveled so that the screws sit flush, but neither impacts the operations of the door.. The gazebo is really nice. The instructions were fairly easy to follow. The only issue was when we unpacked the boxes, there were several panels, windows and a screen that were damaged. It was disappointing to spend so much for damaged materials. The manufacturer did agree to send replacement parts and Wayfair was monitoring the communications, so we felt like we had some insurance. Overall, it's a nice gazebo and the manufacturer made good on the damaged parts. We've been enjoying it and getting plenty of compliments while waiting for the new parts to arrive.. Brian. Great value for the price. I installed it on my Sorara Mirador Pergola, and it worked well. I’d need is raising the underside height from 89” to 94”. Some of the louvers arrived with minor factory paint scratches. I reached out to Mirador for touch-up paint, but they don’t offer any.
