Well, the assembly was slightly cumbersome than that result as the lamp is exactly what I hoped it would be

This lamp is a wonderful addition to my living room. I don't like harsh, direct lighting so I am enjoying the glow it provides in that corner of the room. I did plug it into a dimmer switch so I can change the mood of the room.

We really like our new floor lamp. It gives a lot of light in a very small footprint. We only use 1 light on most days as we just wanted some way to light up the corner of our living room. All three lights on together are REALLY bright.
