This light is superb and is truly a beautiful addition to your room whether it is your dining room or kitchen. The light/shades can be turned upwards or downwards and both look lovely. My husband is a whizz at installing light fixtures and he found it very difficult because you really need two people to do so. One person needs to hold it while the other person wires it. It is also more difficult because of the rods as you need to know exactly how many rods you will need to be the right height for your table depending on what you want. Ours is right at 37” and it’s perfect. Since he is very clever, he found a way to use straps to secure the light while he wired it. The other problem he came across is that the directions are not that good. It doesn’t really tell you how to invert the shades/lights. Overall, we are very pleased with how pretty the light fixture is and would recommend buying it. I’m in the process of getting an answer from the supplier because I am concerned about the California Prop65 warning.
