I'm doing my living room in British Colonial, and I want a touch of whimsy on the writing desk. This lamp is perfect, and it matches two other monkeys, one of which holds business cards, and the other, note cards. The shade is luxurious at night.

I have to admit that these lamps were a bit of a splurge because of the price. I bought two to place in an African-themed guest room in our vacation home. This lamp is interesting, detailed and extremely well made. The shade is a total surprise and WOW. You see the animal print only when the lamp is turned on, the wrapped sheer fabric adds dimension and interest. In a room with several very special items, these lamps have caught the attention of several guests and have delighted each one. I am so glad I bought them; I am very pleased and would definitely recommend.
