Yes, this is an "outdoor" light, but I put mine over my kitchen sink in my farmhouse kitchen....and it looks perfect!! I wanted a wall sconce that was compact and would shine down on the sink yet I only had a small portion of wall over the window, so I needed something that did not hang low and this worked out well. Plus it matches the ceiling fixtures I chose (Billerica Outdoor Flush Mount).... It's black so goes well with an old-fashioned farmhouse style - just what I wanted. (Please forgive the dust, we're still under construction)
