The fan shipped in the box, but as you can see in the pictures it is not very descriptive so that was fine. It was packaged well and not damaged. The motor and housing were a brown color and look fine. The entire fan blade is plastic that is painted with black paint to look like wood. It may ahve said that in the description, but I missed it. I would have prefered a better quality but it is going 12' in the air so maybe you won't be able to tell they are painted.

I didnt pay attention to the fact that “wood” wasnt in the advertisement. The blades are just made of a hard plastic. As you have to pay to return an item I’ll keep it and hopefully it’ll look ok.

The description for this fan said it was compatible for sloped ceilings. I called Wayfair and a representative confirmed that it would work for 30 degrees so I ordered it. Once I received it the wires were not long enough to fit a 2' extension rod. I called Wayfair again and they referred me to the supplier who said it does not work on a sloped ceiling and apologized and said the description would be corrected. Thankfully Wayfair covers the cost of the return shipping. It does look like a beautiful fan though. Sorry it didn't work for me.
