I'll admit, I was stressing about putting this up. I'm not a super great electrician, and I've never hung a ceiling fan, but it actually went up easier than I thought!! Took maybe a couple hours at most, and some of that was because I had to rip out the old J-box. Saved at least a few hundred dollars for an electrician to come out. So, give it a try. Seems sturdy and well made. Good paint finishes and all the hardware. My only comment of improvement, is the instruction drawings are so stupid small. Buy a bigger sheet of paper, so you don't have to squint or get out your readers at 49 1/2 years old. Help a guy out! I ended up pulling out my existing J-Box and buying a ceiling fan J-Box + brace, that secures between the ceiling joists so nothing wobbles (I didn't feel confident in my drywall board on the ceiling). All and all, a great fan, decent remote .... ohh and I think you can hook it up to an App as well. Check it out! I think it looks great in the room, and makes me more excited to finish it up with new windows and such.

I should have bought more expensive fan. Quality of fans is poor. One fan has a gap between fan and bottom of post.
