excellent light for crafting, up close and personal

Looks beautiful but the on/off switch is permanently sealed. Within a month, light started flickering which stopped after a few minutes. Got used to using it this way but always worried about fire hazard. Permanent on/off switch doesn’t allow for easy repair. Cut it out and replaced with similar amp switch which kept on shorting. Just over a year from the purchase date,this beautiful and costly lamp is sitting in dead pile.
