The "gold" was more of a dull mustard color. I've bought several other medallions of the same PVC material which were made to look like the real thing; shiny, rich, lustrous & buttery in various shades of gold including champagne. This one, however, was a sort of brown with a hint of olive green. Not what I would call gold, so I may have to repaint it myself since it's not returnable. And considering that I paid significantly more for this one than the others, it's rather disappointing (and a bit sticky too).
