I love how this turned out!! We decided to paint the ceiling a grayish-tan color and painted the medallion to match. I definitely think it adds an extra touch of detail to an otherwise ordinary room. The paint went onto the medallion very easily with a spongy paint brush, we did not use glue to attach, we just put it between the light and the mounting fixture and it stays in place fine even with the textured ceiling.
