The lamp looks nice, but "form follows function" and this lamp is a fail for these reasons: Used a 60-watt bulb, the lamp "hood" got very hot after a minute, it was hot to touch, and in my opinion was a safety risk. The lamp stem is made poorly, see the attached photo of the protruding plastic. There were also uneven edges and scuff mark part of the stem, and it wobbled a bit on the base. Returned.

Looks nice! I’m not convinced that the felt pad provided for the base of the lamp will stay on for too long, but otherwise it’s sturdy and seems to work well.
