I had a black mat finish one for 9 years. It looked great on and off. it's different. Disappointed it was not available anywhere in mat black. So I got silver, painted it with 2 thin coats of flat black paint... looks great! (Caution...thick layers of paint will dampen the paper and ruin your star.)
