This fan is HORRENDOUSLY designed. I have put together dozens of ceiling fans and never had as rough a time. The other reviews are fake, DO NOT BUY THIS FAN!! First of all, the mount for this fan mates to a 4" ceiling box when all other fans mate to a 3" and there is no adapter. Secondly, the wiring is about 2 to 3x the length needed so plan on cutting, stripping every wire. Thirdly, the wiring control box is the largest I have ever seen. It legitimately is larger than my hand. Trying to cram all of the wiring and the battleship of a control box into the housing is nearly impossible. Fourth, after you cut every wire and spend an hour plus jamming all of the wiring into the housing, the housing will not attach to the ceiling mount. It has a single thread. One. No screws, not three threads, nothing but a single thread. A gust of wind will dislodge this units housing and the wiring will all pop up. Adding insult to injury, the fan is not fast even at the highest setting. But hey, it looks decent. Buy another fan.
