I cannot recommend this item. The lamp base is fine. However, the problem is with the SHADE only. The bottom border strip contains a zig-zagged remnant of material which appears to be trapped inside the border. This makes for a blotchy appearance that detracts from the smooth appearance it is supposed to have. After sending photos to Wayfair reflecting the problem, I requested a replacement shade. The replacement received reflected the exact same problem. The shade is an extremely poor design and has a Velcro attachment which is unattractive and downgrades the entire quality of this lamp..
